What is it Like to be a Faery Witch?

My Very First Video Ever — No laughing Please!

It is with great humility, bordering on embarrassment, that I post this video. I was talked into it!

It is my very first video. I want you all to see that I wasn’t just being lazy with my posting to the blog this month. I was working hard to learn podcasting, and how to make videos. I plan to use this medium a lot in the future — they will be much better too! I learned a lot just by doing this one, bad as it is!

But I hope it shows you, if you think you can’t do things, that you can. Seven months ago, all I could do was email and simple google searches. In that time, totally non techie me, learned to build a WordPress blog,  make podcasts, interview people, and make videos.

So for what its worth here I am! Just don’t laugh, or yawn, too loud. I can hear you!!!!!

If you want to hear my podcasts, sign up for the free e-course in the box to the top right of the side bar. I have used a few podcasts to give guided meditations in the lessons.

OR go to Gothic Faery Tales at http://www,gothicfaerytales.com

I have podcasts there under What Are Gothic Faery Tales? and Parts 1 & 2 of Roses, Briars, Blood. I should have all 11 parts done by next week. I like this story and I read a lot. So if you have any love for fantasy fiction at all, why not give it a try?

Thanks for watching if you did.

Witches Familiars: The Witchery of Birds

Flight has always belonged to Witches, therefore we share a kinship with the birds.

There are as many different types of Witches and there are of birds as well. Each have their own qualities, abilities and traditions.

Here I will list a three birds that have been special to me: the Swan, the Crow, and the Owl.

I hope you will be inspired by my list to suggest some of your own.

Part 1: The Swan

The White Swan has been my familiar for a very long time. I was first given Whiteswan as a spiritual name by a Salish Indian spiritual leader who said he saw it in me. Later on, I had a Vedic, or Indian, Astrological Reading that revealed the symbol of the white swan in my seventh house. I was told the white swan in a Vedic horoscope is a sign of enlightenment. It is also significant that my rising sign, Taurus, is also ruled by Venus, the Goddess associated with swans. I think the spiritual leader “saw’ some real stuff!

Swans have an ancient association with the Goddess’s of Love due to their great beauty, and their tendency to mate for life. Ungainly on land, they blossom on the water like translucent lotuses, and in the air, they soar higher than almost any other bird. Because of their power of flight, birds, in general, represent the Soul rising heavenward. But, especially in Irish tradition,  the swan has also been associated with the journey of the soul  going over the sea into the west, the direction of the setting sun, to the Country of the Dead.

The White Swan shines like the moon on the water. The swan has always been a symbol of romance, sacred to Venus and Aphrodite.  The Black Swan can be said to represent the Dark Side of the Moon, and of Love. Together, the white and black swans are a perfect reflection  of the Goddess in her dual aspect of Love and Death, as well as in her cycle of Death and Rebirth.

The swan is mute, but legend has it that, at death, the swan sings its passage into the Otherworld. I know when I have done really deep Shamanic work, it has been the swan’s plaintive cry that has led me over the threshold into the Kingdom of Shadows.

Aphrodite and the Swan

I love what Buffie Johnson says about This sculpture in  her fabulous book, Lady of the Beasts:

A Greek terra-cotta (sixth century B.C.E.) shows Aphrodite standing in somber splendor on a giant swan. She wears a high tower crown and  carries a small casket, a reference to her possession of the hidden knowledge of death and the sectret of new life…A large and powerful bird, the swan is one of the earliest in the evolutionary chain, with an extra vertebrae in its spine and a mechanism above its beak to adapt to either salt or fresh water. The swan’s whiteness alludes to Aphrodite’s purity and dignity. Throughout the Bronze Age the swan acts as her epiphany or alternate form. Later, she no longer takes the form of the bird; she rides on it.

The black swan is the familiar of the Gorgon. She is called Golden Winged Medusa when she appears with the double wings of the black swan. These double wings along with her body tattoos, rosettes, swastikas, lozenges, and plant motifs reveal her a an embodiment of the Old Goddess. Her fangs and lolling tongue were a symbol of her power to draw rain, making her a important deity for farmers. The swastikas on the black swans’ wings turn both right and left to indicate that life and death move one into the other with ease. It was Medusa’s power over this that caused those who looked at her to be turned to stone.

The Divinity of Pale Creatures

White animals have been seen in many primal cultures as being spirit animals. I think this partly because of their eerie, ghostly appearance as well their association with the north. Souls, especially Witch souls, come down through the lunar tides to the North Pole, before being grounded in the womb.  I think the linking images of white and snow and stars glistering the winter skies during the dark of the moon, contribute to this perception.

The swan is a liminal creature. There is a twilight quality to the swan. It lives by sea and lake, flies high and dives deep under the water. When I was in Ireland in 1996, I went to Innishmore. It was a beautiful day, so a friend and I bicycled to the very tip of the island where the ruins of a 4000 year old ring fort faced a 300 foot sheer drop to the ocean crashing below. Peaked rocks went out like standing stones into the surf and the sun was almost touching the waves, turning the sea to molten silver when we decided it was tme to turn back.

We took the route that went along the shore on opposite side from which we had come. Heaped on our right side were little stone enclosed pastures and on our left, the darkening sea. The sky was turquoise and the moon was just in front of us, huge and full and the color of amber. Beyond the moon was the flash of a lighthouse guiding us back to the town.

We turned a bend and I had to stop. There was a little lagoon with a spit like row of standing stones going out along it. A heron sat at the end of the spit barely visible in the twilight. Then I saw a flash of white brilliance as on the far side of the lagoon, at the edge where the land met the sea, a white swan stood up, went down to the water, and floated there with the moonlight shining in its feathers.

This was surely a vision of the divinity of Earth.

Swans as familiars of the Gods

Swans have been connected to Gods as well as Goddesses.

Zeus famously turned himself into a swan to ravish Leda who then gave birth to Helen of Troy — a true priestess  of the Goddess of Love and War, whose extraordinary beauty brought the ancient world to its knees.

For male witches and Aradia fans, I found this lovely sculpture of Apollo with the swan. Here the swan is the moon,  sister of the God of the Sun.

The snake-like neck of the swan makes it a perfect masculine fertility symbol. The bird can even be said to combine both male and female elements in its form. The swan’s refection of the Inner Marriage is probably why it is included as an emblem in Alchemy in which it represents the aetheric, or shapeshifting, body.

Also see my article on Heimdall which the Swan brought to me in a dream.

Celtic Tradition

It never ceases to amaze me how a soul can draw to itself congruent images. I have long been into Celtic Tradition, dating back to my first exposure to folk music from Ireland and Scotland as a child.

The Goddess, Brighid  therefore was a special deity for me especially when my Faery Seership reached its peak in the mid 1990′s.

The presence of the Swan is very strong in Celtic Tradition, being  associated with deities like Brighid who  participate in the symbiosis of the healing waters and the sun. They are associated with music, poetry, love, purity and the soul. They are shape-shifters, can take human form, and have mastered the elements of water, earth and air.

Among Druids, the Swan represents the soul, and in accordance with its death aspect,  is associated with the Festival of Samhain. The swan aids us in traveling to the Otherworld. Swans are also sacred to Bards, and their skin and feathers were used to make the tugen, the ceremonial Bardic Cloak.

Irish tales

Swans appear throughout Irish folklore. An Otherworldly bird, they are often the disguise of Fairy Women. At certain times of year, a swan maiden can transform herself back into a human, such as at Summer Solstice, Beltane or Samhain, when the veils between the worlds are thin.

The White Swans of the Wilderness were children of the Tuatha de Danaan, who settled Ireland, and became the sidhe after the invasion of the Milesians.

Grail Swan by Arlene deWinter

The Swan and the Holy Grail

I cannot leave this topic without sharing what I know about  the Swan’s relationship with the Holy Grail.

The Grail Mystery was the driving force of my spiritual path long before I was even aware of it. The tie in of the Swan with the Grail has double significance for me.

As I said above, there is a Hermetic aspect to the swan, which makes it not only a great Witches Familiar, but also a perfect companion for the Ceremonial Magician who works with the Grail Mysteries..

Aphrodite was in very ancient times associated with the Morning Star, as was Lucifer.  Her chariot was drawn by swans. I feel the blood in the Grail is the blood of the Swan in its role as Sacrificed God. What that means in this context is the Grail is meant to give the one who attains its vision, life immortal, but this eternal life is not granted without sacrifice.  An example would be Percival’s sister, Dindrane, who dies giving her blood to the dying Goddess to bring her back to life and fitness to rule — for Dindrane’s blood is charged with  the inborn power of the Grail. Because of this, she is transmuted into the form of a spiritual guide, or Muse, that powers the Grail Ship and brings her brother and his fellow knights into the Holy City. In that sense, Dindrane is like the white swan, the boat, the famous Swan Boat, and her death, a song.

My actual experinece of the Grail and Swan comes from my inter-dimensional contact with the Faery race of teh Tuatha deDanaan who brough the Grail Procession and the deeper Grail Mysteries into my house in the mid 1990′s. Because of the power of these visitations, I know I have a Faery soul whic, in Celtic Tradition, is associated with the White Swan. It is not an easy power to have. It is intense and cycles from light to dark to light often. It is much like what I show in the painting above which is the rear side to my Grail Keepers Tarot:

The swan bleeds into the Grail charged with Lucifer’s lost emerald of Gnosis. The Swan’s magical blood sets it alight, as the Swan dies and is reborn in the Grail. The stars are in the pattern of the Sign Aquarius, my sun sign and the emblem of the Grail Bearers.

Two Magical New Operas

I am not usually so newsy, but my friend Michel Parry sent me this in an email from London.

Of course, I love fairy tales and they have provided many great subjects for operas through history.  But the one about John Dee seems like one of those wonderful artistic breakthroughs into the magical consciousness that intrigues me totally.

If any of you are in London, I envy you as I would give my eye teeth to see these!

My Sufi Initiation and Nigel Jackson’s Rumi Tarot

My Sufi Initiation: Companions of the Musavir

Song of the Reed by Rumi

This poem is very hard to find in translation. My dance Director, Elizabeth Dickinson owned a vast library of rare books and I think it came from there. Click the button to stream it from the blog. It’s very short.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

This may come as a surprise to all of you, but my first formal initiation into a spiritual path was in 1982 when I entered the Sufi Order. This was not the California hippy version headed by Vilayat Khan, but then Paris based order run by his brother, classical composer Hidayat Khan.

This came about through a dance company I worked with for many years called Companions of the Musavir. The Musavir is the creative aspect of God in Sufism. We performed Sufi stories using Middle Eastern Dance and mime. Dressed is magnificent costumes, the director, Elizabeth Dickinson, a former model and Opera singer, wanted us to be the Russian Ballet of Middle Eastern Dance. We also did Balkan line dances, Gyspy hora’s, and under my influence, Medieval and Renaissance styles used to act out fairy tales.

My Sufi name was Majid. I liked it because it sounded like Magic and Mage.

Goddess's veil dance

Goddess's veil dance

The Influence of the Goddess

My interest in Middle Eastern was direct offshoot of my growing connection to the Moon Goddess. I was also reacting against Feminism — the idea that in order to be equal to men that woman had to become the same as men and give our femininity. I like my femininity and see no benefit or equality in doing violence to myself to fit into the power structure in its own terms. That is not a revolution but a sell out.

I could think of no stronger way to affirm the Feminine than to become a belly dancer. Companions of the Musaivir was perfect for me because I also saw the theater as a temple, and the idea of creating rituals using woman’s sacred dance forms — ancient as Egypt, archaic as Greece — appealed to me immensely. Elizabeth said I was one of the very few dancers in the 20 odd troupe that understood what she was trying to do with it, and invited my to join the Sufi Order.

We made videos of all of our performances and they were played on cable access in Seattle. I must see if they still exist…I was really proud of a piece I choreographed in which I was Circe luring the ship of Odysseus to my shores…We did an amazing staging of Oscar Wilde’s Salome with some really incredible dances. We did  fabulous Dance to the  Moon Goddess to wild flutes and drums, the Zar, and of course Dervish spins turned into snowflakes and planets. Our most beautiful one was Attar’s Conference of the Birds. Elizabeth so talented and had a music collection from all over the world.

The Opening of the Heart

The most powerful thing that happened right after my initiation was that my heart center opened  at a very deep level. I spent that Spring being so moved by the beauties of nature that I would burst into tears. I had always loved nature, but this was different, more pure. It was an opening to the Divine.

The symbol of Sufism is the winged heart — a motif that I could not ignore in the art of Nigel Jackson, who like myself, is a carrier of the witch blood.

This video is gorgeous as is the Tarot deck, Rumi Tarot created by Nigel Jackson. Watch for my interview with him sometime in September, 2009.

Beautiful new tarot deck by Nigel Jackson. 78 incredible cards 300 page book available at Llewellyn.com

There is a deep connection between Sufism and the Holy Grail that I will explore in future posts. The Grail runs everything that I have been involved with in my life.

Song of the Reed

by Rumi

Listen to the song of the reed,

and hear its tale,

complaining of the pain of separation

It says:

Since I was cut form my meadow of reeds

Men and women have cried

through my songs,

tearing me heart in pieces

with the anguish of parting.

I desire to unveil

the mystery of passion;

Anyone separated form his origin

wants ro return to it.

I, too, have cried for it

in all gatherings

accompanying the songs

of the happy

and the unhappy ones.

Comments are always wonderful. Please let me know what you think.

A Film About Faery Seer, Rev. Robert Kirk

The Secret Commonwealth

in 1692, Reverend Robert Kirk hand wrote a notebook about on Scottish folkloric Faery Tradition not long before his mysterious death. The  notebook was called “The Secret Commonwealth of Elves, Fauns, and Fairies.”

Legend has it that Robert Kirk walked between the worlds and had finally entered into Faery and was never seen again. That his experiences with these beings was real is proven by the evidence of his writings for he gives many Magical Instructions, descriptions, experiences,  and answers the questions of good and evil that concern Christians about Faery.

Author and Faery Seer, R.J.Stewart translated Robert Kirk’s notebooks annotating it with a great deal of his own knowledge.  It is a must read for those who wish to work with the Faery. It is called: Robert Kirk: Walker Between the Worlds.

For Bob’s book go here: R.J.Stewart Books

He sent me an email to find this exciting trailer on Youtube. What an amazing subject! Us Faery Seers may finally have our day!

Who Are the Faeries? How Did They Come to Be?

Faery Teachings

For those who wish to understand the Faery teachings that are the core of the Winterspells School of Faery Witchcraft. some understanding of the Faery race that I work with might be helpful. This is especially so if you are still under the influence of Christian viewpoints regarding Above and Below. Heaven and Hell and all the moral issues that govern these directions.

The Celtic Creation Story of the  Tuatha deDanaan is very similar to John Milton’s Paradise Lost in which Satan enlists the aid of a Lucifer to foment a rebellion against God the Father.

The  War in Heaven

There were five great Archangels that guarded the throne of God: Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel (or Ariel), and Lucifer. Lucifer, whose name means Lightbearer, was the most beautiful of all. His station was at the left hand of God. Some poets sang that tale that Lucifer was God’s first son, brother of Christ. In Paradise Lost, he claims equality with God.

When God created Adam and Eve, He was quite pleased and wanted to give the human race  dominion over all other creatures on Earth. Lucifer did not agree. At that point, the human race was not very clever, or beautiful, but was rather brutal, dark, and lumpish like the clay from which it was formed.  The other Archangels, especially Michael, championed the human race. Lucifer was not worried about this, for was he not the most brilliant of the Archangels? He had created the most glorious palaces in Heaven, rivaling the creative power of God.  His arrogance incensed the other Archangels so that they declared war against Lucifer; such pride and arrogance had no place in Heaven!

Archangel Michael marshaled and army to fight on the side of God and His master plan; Lucifer gathered an army to strive against it. Eventually, Michael won and cast Lucifer, and all his angelic followers, out of Heaven.

Heaven being above, Lucifer and his angels  toppled  down, down , down, drawn into the gravitational field of the Earth. On the way  down, Lucifer’s crown, with its great emerald, fell off of his head  and was lost in the depths of the Underworld.  Lucifer and his angels feel into a great chasm, an abyss, that opened in the Earth, finally landing at its center.

There they found themselves in green land with its own sun, moon, and stars, a mirror image of the Heavens above. There they built great magical cities and ruled the earth in might and splendor.

These were the original Faeries, the Fallen Angels, ruled by Lord Lucifer. In Christian times, the Light Bearer came to be called the Prince of Darkness because he dwelled in the shadows under the earth, exiled with his subjects, the Tuatha deDanaan, who were feared as enemies of God.

The Tuatha deDanaan are the true Keepers of the Emerald that fell from Lucifer’s crown. The green jewel has been called the Emerald Tablet, the Philosophers’ Stone, the Holy Grail.

Perhaps it has always simply been the green Earth.

The Lighbringer’s Gift

There is a tradition that says that Lucifer’s angels took on the task of improving the human race, for “they looked upon the daughters of man and saw that they were fair…”
They mated with humans, and because of that their children were endowed with the fire of divinity, capable of awakening to their divine nature. This legend is behind the Grail Quest and the seeking of the Philosophers’ Stone. Of course, they are one and the same thing.

Lucifer is not Satan. Satan is the Opposer, the block that seeks to hold consciousness in ignorance of its divinity by keeping it locked at the material level. There are those who enjoy the realm of Satan for this very reason. According to Celtic tradition, Satan rules the Way of Evil, God rules the Way of Good, and much like nature in which they so deeply participate, the Faeries follow the Middle Way, neither entirely good, nor entirely evil, they do what they must in the moment.

In Thomas Rhymer the Faery Queen says to Thomas:

See you not yon narrow road
So thick beset with thorns and briars?
That is the road of righteousness,
Though after it but few enquire.

And see you not that broad, broad road,
That winds about the lily leaven?
That is the road to wickedness
Though some call it the Road to Heaven.

And see you not that bonny road,
That winds about the ferny brae?
That is the road to fair Elfland
Where thou and I this night mawn gae.

The middle way,  the sword bridge, the path of mystery and magic.

August Eclipse and How to Let Go of What No Longer Works

August 5, 2009:

An eclipse of the moon at 13 degrees Aquarius.

This was the day I lost my J.O.B. This was also the day my dream of being a full time writer began in earnest.

Eclipses are about endings, especially the series of eclipses we have had this summer.  Once Pluto goes direct in Capricorn on September 11, 2009, we will be at the start of a new cycle. It is time to leave behind the things that don’t serve us and start to create the life we want to live for the next 16 years.

From Anne Ortelee:

Anne Ortelee is my favorite online Astrologer. This is what she has to say, in her over the top way, about this eclipse period:

I’ve heard a quite few “never agains” from the person sitting across the table or speaking over the phone line during the past six weeks. Watch that NEVER AGAIN energy quite carefully. Eclipses bring things to light so we SEE it in a way we never had before. Don’t say Never Again to deny YOURSELF something you deeply want. Do say Never Again to old behaviors that came to light which don‘t serve you any more. There is a difference. Notice it.

What is the Never Again you’ve been saying to yourself? Ok, now detach it from the person you’ve attached it to. I will NEVER AGAIN xyz with that person. That person was an energy in your chart, designed to be a fabulous experience, teacher and teachable moment in a great manner, by you and the desire of your soul to grow and experience things. Do you have the NEVER AGAIN detached from them? I don’t care how much you think they are the cause. It is YOUR chart ~ they are an actor in YOUR life. Detach it.

Next detach the NEVER AGAIN from you. You didn’t do anything wrong. You aren’t a bad person. You don’t deserve to be treated like this. However, you are an actor in THEIR story too. You are part of THEIR chart to help them get clear on what they are supposed to do and experience in this life time. Whether they get the lesson and learn from it is not your job. You’ve done your job by being in their life. You don’t need to stay here. Don’t give up on the idea of the lesson you were for them. Make sure you remember the point of saying NEVER AGAIN. It’ll keep you on your path.

Your Future and Your True Will

A simple ritual to clear something out of your life, is to do what I did with the J.O.B. Get rid of it!

I had to agitate to make my boss fire me. She didn’t want to. For some bizarre reason she wanted to give me the benefit of doubt. Maybe she knew how badly I wanted I out. Some people will do their damndest to hold you back.

You might be afraid to let go of the undesirable situation, or person, or thing. As for the job, I made sure I would be able to collect unemployment at a high enough amount and for a long enough time to cover the basics so I could get my projects off the ground. Then I chose the eclipse day for the bust up. People warned me against it. I wa,s and still am, a tad worried about making ends meet. But I did it anyway because the J.O.B. was making me sick, drained, and frustrated and I knew I did NOT want to identify with wage slave employee in the next cycle.  I did not want this reality!

I had long ago established who I Am as an artist and entrepreneur, a healer, clairvoyant, and teacher. I was not going to allow myself to slip into a pattern that was not in line with my True Will, didn’t suit me at all, was ruining my health, and was meant to be temporary anyway.

I hope you have the courage to walk away from your old patterns before they become fixed or  destructive to you. See the new reality opening out before you! Go for that.

Having always been a  passionate person and knowing since childhood that I wanted to be an artist,  I have never been able to understand people who have no idea what they want out of life. Sometimes a person would come to me for a Tarot reading and ask me “What am I here for? What should I be doing with my life?”

I would ask” What is your passion?”

“I don’t know.”

“Well, what do you like to do? What gets you up in the morning? What makes you happy?”

“Being with my friends down at the pub.”

“What else?”

Blank stare.

I pondered this for a long time. Nobody is a blank slate. Inside every person is a burning desire, even if its just for the usual things like having a family and decent job.

What I think is really going on with these people is that their desires were squashed in childhood; they were shamed out of them, made to feel unworthy, told they would never be able to have that. So they gave up on their True Will — The very reason they are incarnated on this planet was abandoned,  and in giving up on their innermost desire, all fire and passion was doused as if a bucket of water was emptied over it. They gave up on themselves.

I know this because my parents, relatives, schoolmates,  tried to do that to me too. Trouble with me was that I am a very determined person. I am also an Aquarius, so I rebel. I was also on fire with images and dreams feelings that had to be made visible and tangible through creative expression. I held onto my True Will through Hell and high water.

So what if you haven’t been able to that? What if you lost all traces of your passion and your life’s purpose? Now this cycle is ending and a new one beginning — a fresh start — how do you choose what you want to create, to BE,  for the next 16 years?

Being in the Flow

I decided over the last 8 years to forge myself into a novelist. I had published and won prizes for my poetry, but that Muse wasn’t with me any more. I had poured myself into my healing practice branching out to teaching and leading public rituals before I went to London in 1998. After I completed my Grail Bearers Tarot, I began to write a novel for my own entertainment and got so immersed in it that I began to take my desire to write more seriously. I was reassured in this decision because my first Astrologer, Jeff Green, had told me that I was born to be  a writer and film maker. Since his predictions from that 1983 reading had been so accurate, I decide to follow that path.

When I write fiction I forget the time. Ideas surface and dramas play out like magic in my mind’s eye that I simply record. It is total ecstasy for me. All writers experience this. Its why they write! My decision to lose my job was coupled with the determination to BE a full time writer. Whether with novels, blogging, podcasts, videos — my next 16 years will be spent creating art from my imagination and putting it out there to share.

So I ask you: when are you in that flow state? If you know what that is, trust it. Go with where it takes you.

I believe, because I have experienced it, that if you do work that seizes you, that you can’t wait to get to, that you love, you can find a way to make a living at it. If its a relationship you want, make sure you ask that only the people who are the best for you come into your life. Choose to be happy.

If you have never been in the flow state — or don’t think you have  been– pay attention. Ask to be shown.

Say: “I am determined to know what my True Will is. I will experience what turns me on. I will live from my center, from my heart. I create the life I want NOW!”

I swear that if you ask, you will begin to notice when the flow is happening. You will have a glimpse at least of what fires you up.

You may have to go back to early childhood. Try to remember your happiest times. What absorbed your attention as a child?

You may have to spend some quiet time on the weekend tuning in to yourself and reflecting on what you can truly lose yourself in.

You may have a learning curve. Look at me! I have learned all this computer stuff from scratch, over the course of 7 months. Hard work? You bet! Worth it? Absolutely.

You may have to develop a new skill or talent. As I said I spent 8 years forging myself into a novelist. I still don’t have a novel published but I am determined, and now I have cut the time to focus on it as never before.

You may think what you love to do isn’t practical. I have a client who has always loved nature and animals. She is very spiritual and did Energy Healing with me for years, even over the phone while I was living in England. That stopped after a while. When I came back to Seattle, I got in touch with her.

In the years that I was gone, her Live-in Nanny position had ended ( the kids were grown) and she went on to work in a veterinarian’s office where she found herself soothing the animals who were going in for treatment. She had bonded so quickly with the pets that she was asked to  Pet Sit and this evolved into a full time business. ( She’s still Nannying in a way). Still at the vet’s part time, she is now being asked to do Energy Healing on the pets because the owners see how their animals respond to her. In fact one of the first things we did together when I came back, was to get her to a place where she could trust her ability to heal animals with her energy. Her passion for nature and animals has given her a life of joy and celebration every day — and a living as well.

Make A Treasure Map

Today I decided to make a Treasure Map. I think these days they are called Vision Boards.

This is the perfect time: between now and September 11.

I am designing my future. How I want it to be. I did this in the past many times. It works. Weirdly and amazingly. I highly recommend it.

Put in images of  your most far fetched dreams. I say that because before I became a healer I had NO IDEA that I would ever be that. I had no background, no credentials — nothing. But I had an Enlightenment experience that was so mind boggling that word got out. Next thing I knew I was doing healing for a living.

Take the chance — do it NOW. Now is the time to make changes that will last.

Babalon Diaries #10. Podcast Interview with Author Paul A. Green

Babalon Diaries # 10. The Author: Paul A. Green

This is Part 10 to a series of posts about my adventures during 2005, leading up to the performance of Paul Green’s play Babalon. The story is full of cloak and dagger, initiatory strangeness, chaos, and hysteria. It shows what can happen on the Magical path if one is not careful…

Directed by occultist, Alison Rockbrand, Babalon was performed on December 16, 2005, at the John Gielgud Theatre at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts to a sold out audience of London’s finest occultists and magicians. If you want to listen to it, click Radio QBSaul: Archives: Babalon. I played Marjorie Cameron/Babalon. I am called Angela Murrow because I had to hide my identity.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a powerful Magician?

Rocket Scientist, Jack Parsons, was one.

Author, Paul Green, tells his story in the play Babalon and in the interview below.
